Careers & Internships

At Osborne, we owe our success to our people.

They work hard and drive the growth of our business. We are part of a competitive industry, so we’re proud of our ability to attract and retain talented professionals, skilled craftspeople, and recent graduates.

In return, we want to be the kind of employer that helps people build solid careers and lives. We provide our staff the authority and tools to be successful industry leaders. This approach allows us to promote from within the organization.

We invest in our people to foster accountability and strengthen the backbone of our culture. We provide in-house training including but not limited to soft skills, specific job tasks, technology, and safety. This supplies networking opportunities and experience with new technology.

It also means little perks like free parking and sit-stand desks in our open-concept corporate office.

Osborne has the resources of a large organization while retaining the feel of the smaller company we once were.

We’re proud to offer competitive benefits including:

  • Health / Dental / Vision

“I have been with Osborne Construction Co. for 17 years. Over the years, the key factors that influenced my initial decision to join the Osborne Team have been continually reinforced. Osborne has provided me the ability to work with a dedicated and talented group of construction professionals and continues to encourage my own professional growth within the organization. The variety of projects and the diverse locations Osborne pursues work continues to be exciting and rewarding.”

Internships

Get Outside of the classroom.

Whether you’re interested in growing your professional network, exploring a career path, or expanding your resume, Osborne offers the real-life experiences you need. We have several paid internship paths depending on your goals, experience, and availability.

Learn from the best.

We want to know our interns and foster their long-term development, so each intern will be assigned a mentor. These mentors are seasoned professionals who are matched with interns based on factors like personality and career-path. Mentors and interns will have regularly scheduled contact so that each mentor has an advocate, outside of their chain of supervision, someone who can chat about the big and small things in the interns’ work lives.

Summer Internships

Construction Management
Summer is short, so make the most of it. If you have a quarter to work full-time, we can use both green interns as well as those who’ve spent time in engineering or construction management. These interns will spend a few weeks in the office working on estimating and safety management then be assigned to a local project. The level of responsibility and assignments will depend on each intern’s experience and proven skill. At the end of summer, you’ll have worked with scope write-ups, punch lists, safety audits, and close-outs. You’ll be invited to interact with the owner’s team, our staff, and our trade partners.

School Year Internships

Construction Management
If you have availability throughout the year, we’d love to see you tackle a long-term assignment. It’s often more satisfying to work on a project from beginning to end. Again, the level of responsibility and assignments will depend on each intern’s experience and proven skill.

Business Internships

There’s more to our business than hard hats and big equipment. Our Accounting, HR, and Marketing departments need creative and driven people to help streamline our workflows and offer fresh ideas. In turn, we can to provide the unique experiences that teach interns how the A/E/C industry operates.
